The Specificity of Training
Need a bigger aerobic engine? Then you must build it.
At Pure Endurance, we believe that there is a time and place for ‘specificity’ in the world of Crossfit. We all know that Crossfit consists of constantly varied, functional movements, executed at high intensity. If running is your weakness and your box only programs running two times per month you will never get better at running. This can be said for rowing, biking, and swimming as well.
This concept is obvious when it comes to lifting. If you want to increase your back squat what do you do? You back squat! After several weeks of a focused training program with specific sets and reps at certain percentages you will see an increase in your ability to back squat more load. This same concept applies to your aerobic engine. The problem most crossfit athletes run into is that they do not follow a specific program with specific intervals, paces and intensities that yield results. We provide mono-structural programming that aims to improve your aerobic and anaerobic capacity through specificity.
Our monthly program is meant to enhance, not replace, your current CrossFit programming. We provide four days per week of structured mono-structural workouts that are specific to building a well rounded engine.
